MIZTV with Fandango & Summer Rae

In the Arena, Lilian Garcia introduced The Miz for MizTV. He was already in the ring and introduced his show. He said tonight he wouldn’t just be entertaining, but he’d be versatile, because after his show he would win back the Intercontinental Title. He then introduced Fandango, who made his entrance with Summer Rae. The commentators ogled Summer Rae and said flattering things about Fandango. The Miz stood there like a doofus while this was all happening.

Finally, Fandango grabbed a mic and shushed Miz as he tried to ask a question. Fandango said Miz wasn’t different than anyone else, and then corrected him on the pronunciation of his name. Miz did his really bit, and Fandango kept responding yes. Miz moved on and said on Monday Night, Fandango did something no one else has ever done before in a tag match, and danced in front of the commentators table. Then he showed Jericho pie facing Summer Rae. Miz asked Fandango why he left Wade Barrett high and dry. He said his ego was more obnoxious than his name, and asked him what kind of narcissist he was.

Fandango said if anyone ever got close to Summer Rae again, he would dance all over their face. He then asked the Miz why he wanted to talk about egos. Miz responded that he knew the line between sports entertainment, and didn’t want to look like a bag of skittles dancing. Fandango collected himself while the crowd chanted bag of skittles, and Miz congratulated him on being the new fruity pebbles. Fandango said Miz and his lecture bored him, but Wade Barrett interrupted before he could continue.

Wade said he had a word for those two, but he would start with the ballerina. He said he was a waste of skin, and said the only reason they lost was because Fandango would rather tiptoe through the tulips than fight like a man. He then said he would make sure the whole world forgets the name Fandango. The Miz then reminded Barrett he would face him later for the Intercontinental Championship, and that he has tapped him out twice before. Barrett then said let me remind you how this feels, and they brawled all over the ring. Barrett eventually rolled to ringside and they reset for the match next.

The Miz vs. Wade Barrett

Miz and Barrett went back and forth for a bit early on until Fandango’s music hit and he and Summer Rae began dancing at ringside. Miz and Barrett battled incredulously while the music played, with Barrett hitting the winds of change and The Miz attempting a figure four but failing. Eventually Fandango interfered for the DQ. Both he and Barrett took a few shots at Miz after the match, and then Barrett hit the Bull Hammer on Fandango.

Kane and Daniel Bryan had a promo segment backstage where Bryan was obviously upset. Kane said they lost as a team and that he lost on Monday. Bryan said he didn’t like the implication that he was the weak link of the team, and stormed off.

The Miz and another MizTV segment opens this week’s WWE SmackDown. His guests are Fandango and Summer Rae. Miz announces he will do MizTV and then win the Intercontinental Title tonight. Wade Barrett interrupts and starts running down Fandango and threatens him. Miz and Barrett start brawling and we have tonight’s first match.

The Miz vs. Wade Barrett for the Intercontinental Title is up first. Fandango comes out dancing and interrupts in the match. Barrett nails the Bullhammer on Fandago but Miz wins by DQ.

Fandango and Wade Barrett vs. The Miz and Chris Jericho

Back from the break and out comes Fandango with Summer Rae. Out next comes WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett with a new theme song. Out next comes The Miz followed by his partner Chris Jericho to a big pop.

Fandango and Barrett argue about who’s going to start. Barrett starts things off with Jericho. They lock up and Barrett applies a headlock and drops him with a shoulder. Jericho comes back with chops and forearms. Barrett with an elbow to the face and a tag to Fandango. Fandango comes in and unloads on Jericho. Fandango beats Jericho down in the corner but Jericho comes back. Fandango drops him with a big boot and tags Barrett back in. They argue some more. Jericho goes to the floor as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Barrett is in control of The Miz. Fandango is out on the floor with Summer. Miz makes a comeback on Barrett and works him over. Miz goes for the Figure Four but Fandango cuts him off on the microphone. Fandango says his name, his music hits and he dances with Summer at ringside, right in the middle of the match. Barrett gets upset and yells at Fandango from the ring. Barrett turns around to shoulders from Jericho. Jericho nails a double ax handle shot from the top. Jericho with a running bulldog and a Lionsault. Jericho nails a Codebreaker and tags Miz back in. Miz applies the Figure Four for the win.

Winners: The Miz and Chris Jericho

After the bell, Fandango continues dancing with Summer at ringside. Jericho and Miz go to the floor and surround Fandango. He retreats through the crowd and leaves Summer there. Jericho stares Summer down and extends his hand. She takes it and they dance a little. They lock eyes again and Jericho disses her. Jericho walks off laughing as his music hits and Summer throws a fit.

The Miz vs. Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes is out first followed by The Miz. Josh Mathews and Tony Dawson are on commentary.

They go at it and Miz takes control early on. It’s hard to follow the action with these feed problems. Cody turns it around and drops Miz on his face for a 2 count. Cody with more offense and another pin attempt. Cody with stomps to the gut. Cody takes Miz back down with a knee to the gut. Cody with a submission now. Miz turns it around but gets taken back to the mat. Miz fights out and rolls Cody up. Cody comes right back with a clothesline. Cody with a 2 count. Cody with a body scissors on the mat.

Miz starts making a comeback. He charges and misses int he corner but ends up rolling Cody for a 1 count. Miz hits the backbreaker but Cody blocks the neckbreaker. Miz counters that with kicks to the heads. Cody blocks the Figure Four. Another Cross Rhodes blocked by Miz. Cody with a boot to the face. Cody comes off the corner but Miz catches him in the Figure Four. Cody taps to end the match.

Winner: The Miz

MIZTV with Randy Orton & Big Show

The WWE Narrator informed us about the change to the World Heavyweight Championship match, and then Big Show and Randy Orton’s feud was discussed, and their appearance on MizTV was mentioned.

Miz was already in the ring in the MizTV set when the show opened to the arena. He welcomed everyone to the must see talk show MizTV. Miz then said he wanted to make tonight special, and introduced Randy Orton to his show. The announce team went over Orton and Big Show’s match at ringside, and said Orton could be in trouble with in an Extreme match with a giant. After Orton got to the ring, Big Show got a full ring entrance as well. The announce team recalled all the times Big Show knocked out Randy Orton.

Miz reminded the crowd that their match at Extreme Rules would be anything goes. He then said they’ve been having trouble since WrestleMania, and followed up by talking about Orton’s RKO on Big Show at the conclusion of Smackdown last week. He then showed video footage of the RKO, and Big Show didn’t seem to react to it much. Miz then asked Show if that is what we’d see at Extreme Rules. Show said he expected comments like that from a weasel, and the only way Orton hit the RKO was by hitting him from behind.

Show said Orton was a snake in the grass, but at Extreme Rules he’d have all the tools to rip Orton apart. He said his tools were at the ends of his arms, and in St. Louis their match would end with a TKO instead of an RKO. Orton played to the crowd with a glance before responding, and said that was a very entertaining story from Show, but the ending was inaccurate. Orton said there was no way he would let Orton beat him in his home town. He wouldn’t let him beat him in front of his friends, family, and his city.

Orton then said he made a mistake at WrestleMania by trusting him, but all people would remember about Extreme Rules is him striking down the giant. He concluded by saying that if Show wasn’t careful, he wouldn’t wake up. Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter interrupted, and Colter said Extreme Rules would be memorable because Jack Swagger would make Alberto Del Rio say I Quit. He said he could even say it in his own tongue, no mas. He then said on Sunday that Swagger would become the undisputed #1 Contender and you would see Americans rising up.

Del Rio interrupted and told Colter to shut up. He said the only thing people would remember was him becoming #1 Contender, and Ricardo said his name. He then said he would send Colter back to where he came from, so he couldn’t sneak into his business again. Mark Henry then interrupted and said no one would remember anything but him setting world records, and beating Sheamus the worst he’s ever been beaten in his life. He then said people would remember is that he’s the World’s Strongest Man, because “That’s what I do!”

Sheamus then interrupted and called Mark Henry “ol lumpy”. He said that their match at Extreme Rules would be remembered, because he would leave Mark Henry battered and bruised. He then asked why they should wait, because they could make a memory tonight. He charged the ring with a strap in hand, and the babyfaces cleared the heels from the ring.

The Miz vs. Damien Sandow

he Miz took control early with a clothesline and kick. Sandow tried to retreat to the outside, but Miz hit a jumping clothesline from the apron. Sandow kicked Miz as he re-entered the ring and took control. Rhodes got up and grabbed a mic and demanded the crowd stand up and respect Damien Sandow. Sandow then hit a suplex, while the announce team plugged what Wade Barrett was saying on the WWE App about The Miz. Sandow continued the assault with knees and a side Russian Leg Sweep and the Elbow of Disdain.

They talked about Cody’s mustache as The Miz got back on offense. He hit a knee lift and a clothesline in the corner. He climbed to the top and hit a double axe handle. Miz then set up for the figure four, bot Rhodes jumped on the apron. Miz knocked him down and applied the figure four for the tapout victory.

SmackDown opens up with The Miz and another MizTV segment. His guests are Randy Orton and Big Show, who were previously advertised for The Highlight Reel. We see highlights from the Orton vs. Show feud. Jack Swagger, Alberto Del Rio, Mark Henry and Sheamus all end up in the ring and a brawl breaks out. Orton, Del Rio and Sheamus clean house before Teddy Long comes out and makes a six-man match for later tonight.

Damien Sandow walks up on The Miz and Teddy Long backstage. Sandow wants to get The Damien Sandow on SmackDown after what happened with MizTV. They have words and Teddy makes Sandow vs. Miz for tonight.

The Miz defeated Damien Sandow by submission. Cody Rhodes was at ringside and cut a promo before the match.

Miz and Rhodes each boast impressive championship resumes. Rhodes is a former Intercontinental, World Tag Team and WWE Tag Team Champion, while The Awesome One is a former WWE Champion, in addition to having the WWE Tag Team, World Tag Team, U.S., Unified Tag Team and Intercontinental Titles on his extensive resume.

But all of that is in the past. Now, both attention-craving Superstars will look to impress the WWE Universe and get back into the title picture.

The Miz is no stranger to capturing titles during pay-per-view Pre-Shows, defeating Wade Barrett to capture the Intercontinental Title during the WrestleMania 29 interactive event. But just one night later, he lost the illustrious title to Barrett on Raw. As for Rhodes, he’s found himself in an on-again, off-again partnership with Damien Sandow to form Team Rhodes Scholars. Although a formidable and synergistic duo, they never really found themselves competing for the WWE Tag Team Titles.

A victory at Extreme Rules could propel the winner right to the forefront of championship contenders. So it can be truly said that circumstances are “Extreme.”

The Miz vs. Heath Slater

They lock up and Slater with a waist lock. Slater with an elbow and punch but Miz with a knee to the midsection and he kicks Slater in the head. Slater sends Miz to the apron but Miz slides under and gets a near fall with a sunset flip. Miz with Reality Check and he gets a near fall. Miz kicks Slater and Mahal grabs the leg and Slater with a leaping leg lariat for a near fall.

Slater punches Miz and he connects with jabs and hits a neck breaker for a near fall. Slater with a reverse chin lock. Miz with elbows and a snap mare but Slater misses a charge into the corner. Miz with a running forearm followed by a knee lift and a boot to the head. Miz with the Awesome Clothesline and he goes up top for a double sledge and then he wants to apply the figure four but Slater gets to the ropes.

Slater with a punch and he goes up top but Miz punches Slater on the turnbuckles and then he knocks Mahal off the apron. Miz sends Slater onto McIntyre and Mahal. Miz sends Slater back into the ring and Slater is limping and Miz with a drop kick to the knee and then he applies the figure four leg lock and Slater taps out.

Winner: The Miz
